Project Overview
This project involved designing a mechanical compaction system for a garbage bin to reduce waste volume and improve storage efficiency. The goal was to develop a practical mechanical design that could be integrated into a standard bin while maintaining reliable operation.
Challenge
The system required a compact mechanism capable of applying sufficient compression force while fitting within the limited space of a garbage bin.
Solution
​A mechanical compaction mechanism was developed using CAD modelling and engineering design methods. The design focused on structural strength, efficient force transmission, and reliable operation within the available space.
